Adventures in ham radio

The 7QP is upon us! The regional contest runs from 1300 UTC Saturday, May 3rd, to 0700 UTC Sunday, May 4th (that’s 6 AM to midnight PDT on Saturday, May 3rd).

WW7D/R on the Jefferson, ID–Madison, ID county line for the 2013 7QP

Once again, I’ll be going /M for the contest. The route I do this year will be an rather modified version of the route I did for last year’s 7QP. In fact, it will be even more similar to the route I ran last March for the IDQP. Most of the route is in Idaho.

And, again, my non-ham buddy, Dave, will be driving me around in a late-model pick-up truck. I’ll be using a Kenwood TS-480 at 100 watts into a couple of home built screwdriver antennas.
